Does spinal manipulation help menstrual cramps?
In one woman's experience, spinal manipulation and soft tissue therapy reduced her pain episodes and pain levels during menstruation.
What they did
One woman with menstrual cramps recorded her pain levels in a diary for 4 months before treatment and 3 months during treatment. During treatment, she received spinal manipulations and soft tissue therapy from a chiropractor.
What they found
She had fewer painful episodes and lower pain ratings while being treated. The duration of her menstrual flow did not change.
