Already in Apple Health

If you turned on Clue’s Apple Health sync, the periods you logged since that day are already in Health, and Niyora reads them when you connect Apple Health. Clue’s export brings the rest, including what you logged before the sync.

How Niyora reads Apple Health

Step by step

Step 1: get your data from Clue

Clue builds the file when you ask and emails you a link. These are the steps on Clue’s support site.

  1. 1

    Open settings in Clue

Tap the menu at the top right, then Settings.

  2. 2

    Request your data

Tap Download my data, then Request data. Clue shows a one-time password. Copy it and keep it.

  3. 3

    Download within 72 hours

Clue emails a download link to your account address. The link works for 72 hours. Download the ZIP.

Step 2: open the file in Niyora

Your periods, symptoms and moods come across.

  1. 1

    Open the file in Niyora

In Niyora, tap Bring your history from another app, then Choose the file. You’ll find it on the period calendar on Home and during setup. Or share the file from Mail or Files and tap Open in Niyora.

  2. 2

    Enter the password, if asked

If Niyora says This file is locked, enter the password your old app sent you and tap Open the file. Niyora asks once and never keeps it.

  3. 3

    Check what Niyora found

Niyora reads the file on your phone, and nothing is uploaded. Here is what Niyora found shows your periods and the dates they cover.

  4. 4

    Import

Tap Import. When you see Your history is here, tap Done. A period you already have counts once.

Why Niyora

What Niyora does with your periods

Niyora is a PMS and PMDD support app. It marks your PMS window from your periods, and when a feeling hits, Moon helps you calm down, see it another way and decide what to say. There’s no account to make.

PMDD is confirmed with daily ratings over at least two cycles. (ACOG Clinical Practice Guideline No. 7, 2023) If you logged your moods in Clue day by day, you already have part of that record, and it comes across with your periods.

FAQ

Questions about moving from Clue

How do I download my data from Clue?

To download your Clue data, open the menu at the top right, tap Settings, then Download my data and Request data. Clue shows a one-time password, then emails a download link to your account address. The link works for 72 hours, and the password opens the ZIP file.

Does Clue sync with Apple Health?

Clue writes your period and flow to Apple Health, one way, for days you log after you allow it. Days logged before that stay in Clue, per Clue’s support site. Niyora reads what Clue wrote to Health, and your Clue export brings across the rest.

What is in a Clue data export?

A Clue data export is a password-protected ZIP of JSON files with your tracked data and your Clue settings. It holds your period days with flow, and what else you logged, such as moods, pain and energy. Niyora reads the file on your phone and shows what it found before you import.
