Step by step

Step 1: get your data from Flo

Flo sends your data when you ask for it. These are the steps on Flo’s privacy pages.

  1. 1

    Open My Data in Flo

Tap your avatar to open the menu, then tap My Data.

  2. 2

    Request your data

    Tap Request My Data.

  3. 3

    Keep both emails

Flo sends two emails, one with your data and one with the password that opens it.

  • You can also ask Flo through Help, then Contact us, for your data as a JSON file. Niyora reads that file too.
  • Flo’s privacy policy says it answers data requests within one month.
  • If you use Flo in Anonymous Mode, Flo asks you to register an account before it can export your data.

Step 2: open the file in Niyora

Your Flo periods come across, and Niyora sets your PMS window from them.

  1. 1

    Open the file in Niyora

In Niyora, tap Bring your history from another app, then Choose the file. You’ll find it on the period calendar on Home and during setup. Or share the file from Mail or Files and tap Open in Niyora.

  2. 2

    Enter the password, if asked

If Niyora says This file is locked, enter the password your old app sent you and tap Open the file. Niyora asks once and never keeps it.

  3. 3

    Check what Niyora found

Niyora reads the file on your phone, and nothing is uploaded. Here is what Niyora found shows your periods and the dates they cover.

  4. 4

    Import

Tap Import. When you see Your history is here, tap Done. A period you already have counts once.

FAQ

Questions about moving from Flo

How do I export my data from Flo?

To export your Flo data, open Flo’s menu, tap My Data, then Request My Data. Flo sends two emails, one with your data and one with the password that opens it. Open the data file in Niyora and enter the password. Flo’s privacy policy says it answers data requests within one month.

Does Flo sync periods to Apple Health?

Flo doesn’t sync periods to Apple Health. Flo’s help center says menstruation logged in Flo is not sent to the Health app, though Flo can read data such as steps and sleep from Health. Connecting Apple Health to Niyora won’t bring your Flo periods across, so the export file is how they move.

How long does a Flo data export take?

Flo’s help page on exports doesn’t say how long the file takes, and Flo’s privacy policy says it answers data requests within one month. While you wait, add your recent periods when you set up Niyora. When the Flo file arrives, open it in Niyora, and a period you already added counts once.

What comes across from Flo to Niyora?

When you open your Flo export in Niyora, your periods come across, and Niyora sets your PMS window from them. Flo’s articles and predictions stay in Flo.
